By making an appointment with Samantha, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:
The grooming prices shown on this site are a starting point based on the owner maintaining their dog's coat between visits and keeping to a regular grooming schedule applicable for the dogs coat type. Should you not adhere to the suggested schedule and home grooming routine then your dogs coat may become matted/overgrown and your desired style may not be achievable. Please ensure you are aware of the schedule for your dogs coat type.
Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in a dog’s coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the dog's skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations. I will not cause serious or undue stress to your dog by dematting. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require your dog's coat to be fully clipped off. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths/warts trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the dog's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases, dogs may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defence by scheduling regular grooming appointments.
Matting will be subject to a surcharge depending on the severity of the case, as it involves extra work, is time consuming, and causes extra wear and tear on my grooming equipment.
Please ensure that your dog arrives Dry and Mud-Free. If not a surcharge will be applied.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment, to facilitate the smooth running of my appointment system.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the alloted time, you will have missed your appointment and will be asked to pay the cancellation charge before another appointment can be made.
If you fail to show up or give less than 48 hours Notice of Cancellation you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the grooming cost which must be paid prior to making any future appointment.
Should your dog require veterinary attention, I will call you immediately and if it is considered to be a life threatening situation I will take your dog straight to a veterinary practice. Any fee incurred will be at your own expense unless such treatment was needed due to a grooming error.
As I have a crate free salon, I politely ask that that your dog is collected on time. I will give you the collection time when you leave your dog with me. A late collection fee will become applicable after an initial 15 minute grace period, and will be charged at £5.00 per 30 minutes or part thereof.
I rarely have cause to use muzzles; however, as my safety is of paramount importance, I will muzzle your dog where I deem it to be appropriate for my own safety. If you are aware that your dog is uncomfortable with any part of the grooming process or if your dog is prone to nipping or biting then you MUST bring this to my attention before the groom begins, so that I can try to avoid any incidents.
Payment is by Cash or Cheque ONLY (I do NOT accept Credit/Debit Card or BACS payment).
